Fribourg International School classes to start in fall 2009

Fribourg International School

This fall, Fribourg International School will commence its primary education program for children aged 3 to 11 based on the English National Curriculum. Since the number of confirmed enrolments remains too low to justify opening the new school in Matran at the present time, the decision was made to transfer those children who had already enrolled with the FIS to the International School of Monts-de-Corsier. A special bus service will be provided to take them to and from Fribourg. As soon as enough pupils enroll, teaching will begin in Matran.
Interested parents and companies should contact Andy Croft, Director of the Monts-de-Corsier and Fribourg International Schools.

What I like about Switzerland:

The sheer beauty of Switzerland is amazing. We love the diversity that exists between the German, French and Italian parts of the country. We've come to discover that Switzerland is a little gem in the middle of Europe.

What I don't like about Switzerland:

Well coming from California I wasn't so sure I was going to enjoy the winter very much. However, the infrastructure for dealing with the snow works wonderfully so really no inconvenience there. Also, the skiing was excellent this past winter. Therefore, nothing negative to say!

My message to other expatriates living in Fribourg:
Get out there and enjoy! Everyone living here is so blessed to have such a central location and such beauty at our doorstep.
