Duncan Evans Country of Origin: South Africa Company: VeriSign
Living in the canton of Fribourg since June 2007.
My favorite place in the canton of Fribourg: The house we are living in in Lossy near Belfaux. Stunning views, a forest nearby and lots of quiet.
My favorite Fribourg website: www.fribourgtourisme.ch
My favorite Swiss website: www.swissinfo.org
What I like about Switzerland: The friendly people and the way most things work as they are supposed to. The scenery is fantastic and there is so much to do.
What I don't like about Switzerland: Nothing I can say I really don't like, but I haven't survived winter yet. Biggest challenge is communicating in and learning another language. My message to other expatriates living in Fribourg: Not sure I have been here long enough to offer advice but definitely feel you have to give your best shot to learning a language, trying to communicate and interact with the community aroud you and make a clear decision to tackle everything with a sens of humor.
